In the afternoon of April 17th, just as the three major indexes of A-shares were fluctuating, the BeiZheng 50 Index suddenly surged, rising nearly 5% by the close of trading. Among the components of the BeiZheng 50 Index, only one stock declined, while the others all rose. Many investors were questioning what had happened behind the scenes. There are two reasons. First, a brokerage firm issued a statement that the BeiZheng 50 Index Fund is expected to increase the purchase limit to 15 billion yuan next week. The brokerage firm stated that currently there are 38 BeiZheng 50 Index funds, all of which are off-exchange products. As of the end of March, the total passive investment products linked to the index were 141.75 billion yuan, which is an increase of 90 billion yuan compared to the current 5 billion yuan limit. Each fund will be increased by an additional 10 billion yuan, effectively releasing the full purchase limit due to the capacity of the BeiZheng exchange. This move by the brokerage firm is seen as positive, providing more flexibility to the BeiZheng exchange and supporting the rebound of small-cap stocks in the future. While the current lack of attention on the BeiZheng exchange may limit purchasing enthusiasm, the increase in the purchase limit is expected to improve efficiency and increase market flexibility. Furthermore, with recent easing tensions between the US and Iran and Trump's visit to China in May, market sentiment is expected to improve, benefiting the BeiZheng 50 Index. Second, in this round of market recovery, it is also logical to shift focus to the BeiZheng exchange in terms of sector rotation trading logic. Some market experts commented, "The ChiNext has reached an all-time high, is it now the turn of the BeiZheng exchange?" While others stated, "In the long term, the Shanghai Composite Index is responsible for stability, the banking sector is responsible for support, the securities sector is responsible for pressure, the science and technology innovation board and ChiNext are responsible for the offensive, and the BeiZheng exchange is responsible for wrapping up."
