BYD's 16 millionth new energy vehicle officially rolled off the production line, with the global debut of the second-generation Tang D9. Data shows that BYD's research and development investment will reach 63.4 billion yuan by 2025, accumulating to over 240 billion yuan. In 2025, BYD's annual sales are expected to exceed 4.6 million units, with overseas sales exceeding 1.04 million units, covering business in 119 countries and regions. In March 2026, BYD launched the second-generation blade battery and flash charging technology, overcoming industry challenges such as slow charging and difficulty in charging in low temperatures. They also introduced the "Flash Charging China" strategy, planning to build 20,000 flash charging stations by the end of the year. The second-generation Tang D9, which was launched this time, has a starting price of 389,800-489,800 yuan, equipped with the Tian Shen Zhi Yan 5.0 intelligent driving system as standard across the range and features the second-generation blade battery. The plug-in hybrid version has a pure electric range of 401 kilometers, while the all-electric version has a range of 800 kilometers.
