National Bureau of Statistics: The growth rate of service retail sales in the first quarter is 3.3 percentage points faster than that of commodity sales.
On April 16, Mao Shengyong, Deputy Director of the National Bureau of Statistics, stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that service consumption grew rapidly in the first quarter. The retail sales of services in the first quarter increased by 5.5% year-on-year, 3.3 percentage points faster than the sales of goods. Holiday consumption continues to heat up, with a significant increase in the number of residents traveling, and the consumption potential in areas such as cultural and tourism events is continuously being unleashed. In the first quarter, the retail sales of cultural, sports and leisure services, as well as tourism consultation and leasing services, both saw double-digit growth.
