Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren has requested that the Federal Reserve provide copies of the records generated or received by Kevin Warsh during his tenure as a Federal Reserve Governor from 2006 to 2011, including records related to the financial crisis. "Warsh did not take the risks posed by the subprime mortgage market seriously during his time as a Federal Reserve Governor, and played a key role in arranging multiple actions involving billions of dollars in taxpayer-funded bailouts to financial institutions," Warren said in a statement released via email.
