Implementation from May 1, multiple departments jointly issued the "List of Key Control Foreign Species at Ports"

According to the General Administration of Customs, in recent days, the General Administration of Customs, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, has released the "List of Key Control of Exotic Species at Ports" for the first time, which will be implemented from May 1 this year. This is based on the "People's Republic of China Biological Safety Law", based on the customs' years of port seizure cases, after multiple rounds of rigorous scientific evaluation and demonstration by experts, the first batch of foreign species with potential invasion risks that need to be key controlled at ports has been finally identified, including insects, mollusks, fish, amphibians and 21 families in 4 categories.
