Silicon Industry Branch: Polysilicon prices decline narrow, transactions show signs of recovery
The Silicon Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association released a statement, according to Antaike statistics, the transaction price range for n-type recycled polycrystalline silicon this week is 34,000-36,000 yuan per ton, with an average transaction price of 35,300 yuan per ton, a decrease of 1.94% compared to the previous period; the transaction price range for n-type granular silicon is 34,000-35,000 yuan per ton, with an average transaction price of 34,300 yuan per ton, a decrease of 2.00% compared to the previous period. The activity level in the polycrystalline silicon market has slightly increased this week. According to the research, 5-6 companies have reached new orders this week, and the overall transaction volume has significantly increased compared to the previous weeks. This positive change in the market is mainly due to a change in downstream attitudes: on the one hand, after experiencing a rapid decline in polycrystalline silicon prices for two and a half months, downstream companies generally believe that the silicon material prices are close to the bottom, further downward pressure is very limited, even if there are minor adjustments in the future prices, the potential inventory discount losses are within a controllable range, so some companies, based on a "bottom fishing" mentality, begin to make tentative purchases or stock up in small quantities. On the other hand, although prices continued to decline this week, the rate of decline compared to the previous weeks showed a narrowing trend, which to some extent eased the market's wait-and-see sentiment, prompting some just-in-time orders to be released.
