United Nations: Armed conflict in Sudan has caused at least 4300 children to die or become disabled.

The United Nations Children's Fund released its latest report on the situation in Sudan on the 14th local time, stating that the armed conflict in Sudan has caused at least 4,300 children to die or become disabled. The report indicates that since the outbreak of armed conflicts in Sudan in 2023, the United Nations has verified over 5,700 cases of serious harm to children in various parts of Sudan, resulting in the death or disability of over 4,300 children. In the first three months of 2026, at least 160 children were killed and 85 were disabled. The report also notes that there are currently over 5 million children displaced in Sudan, around 4.2 million children suffering from acute malnutrition, and at least 8 million children out of school.
