According to the latest storage industry research from TrendForce, major manufacturers are sticking to their strategy of gradually phasing out the production of products below mature DDR4 levels. With ongoing convergence in the market supply structure, overall prices have shown a staggering increase over the past few months. TrendForce considers factors such as continued reduction in supply, order transfers, and the inability of mature process suppliers to expand capacity, and estimates that consumer DRAM contract prices will continue to increase by 45-50% quarter over quarter in the second quarter of 2026.
