Australia is strengthening its ties with its northern neighbors to ensure fuel supply and enhance defense relationships amid concerns about the US government's increasing focus on a potential war with Iran and a possible weakening of alliances. At a time of global supply disruptions, Australian Prime Minister Albanese and his senior ministers have been traveling to various Asian countries to secure key trade partners to maintain the supply of diesel and gasoline. Albanese is expected to meet with the Prime Minister of Singapore on Friday and visit Brunei next week. Albanese said on Thursday: "Over the past four years, we have been working to build relationships with countries in our region, especially ASEAN leaders. Our relationship with Singapore is crucial and Singapore is Australia's principal fuel supplier. So I am looking forward to this."
