OpenAI says that Anthropic's computing resources are limited.
As the booming Artificial Intelligence market, OpenAI this week sent a memorandum to investors, harshly criticizing its main competitor "for having a clearly smaller development curve" and stating that its computational resources are limited. According to the memorandum seen by the U.S. Consumer News and Business Channel CNBC, OpenAI plans to achieve a computational power scale of 30 terawatts by 2030, while it is estimated that Anthropic will only reach about 7 to 8 terawatts by the end of 2027. "Even at the upper end of their range, our expansion speed is significantly ahead, and the gap is widening," OpenAI said. In the rapidly evolving market for large language models and artificial intelligence services, the two companies are fiercely competing for industry position, with OpenAI's concerns about Anthropic growing. The total estimated value of the two companies has exceeded a trillion dollars, with both preparing for a possible IPO launch later this year, while also trying to prove to investors that they have a sustainable business model and can withstand the pressure of competition from well-funded companies like Google, Meta, and others.
