The China Earthquake Networks Center officially determined that a 3.9-magnitude earthquake occurred in Mianxian County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province at 2:32 am on April 6, 2026, with a depth of 27 kilometers. After the earthquake, the China Earthquake Administration quickly initiated a Level 4 emergency response, coordinating with the China Earthquake Networks Center and Shaanxi Provincial Seismological Bureau to carry out emergency response actions, requiring relevant units to conduct joint discussions, strengthen earthquake monitoring and post-earthquake trend analysis, and promptly report the relevant situation. Currently, the Shaanxi Provincial Seismological Bureau has dispatched a field work team to the earthquake-affected area to assist the local government in carrying out emergency response work. It is understood that there have been reports of tremors near the epicenter.
