The daily average consumption of Doubao Token has increased 1000 times in two years.

On April 2nd, Tan Dai, the CEO of Volcano Engine, mentioned in the latest business progress update that the daily average token usage of DouBao's large model exceeds 1.2 trillion. This number has doubled in the past three months, growing 1000 times compared to the level of 120 billion per day when it was released in May 2024. The scale of token consumption for more enterprises has undergone significant changes. Currently, the number of enterprises with a cumulative token usage of over 1 trillion on Volcano Engine has increased from 100 at the end of last year to 140. Tan Dai pointed out that token usage is a core indicator of measuring the speed of AI development. The recent rapid growth in the usage of DouBao's large model is driven by the explosion of AI video creation and the accelerated spread of AI intelligent bodies. Byte's lobster-like intelligent body service ArkClaw and video model Seedance2.0 directly participate in and promote this trend. On the same day, another important move on the business side was the opening of the Seedance2.0 API for public testing for enterprise users.
