From April 1st to July 31st, fishing activities are prohibited in the Yellow River basin in Shaanxi Province.

Reporters learned from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Shaanxi Province that from April 1 to July 31 is the fishing ban period for the Yellow River Basin in Shaanxi Province in 2026. The fishing ban covers the main streams of the Yellow River, Wei River, Luohe River, as well as their primary tributaries, interconnected lakes, and reservoirs. During the fishing ban period, besides recreational fishing, all fishing operations are prohibited. Illegal fishing practices such as using electricity, poison, and prohibited fishing gear will be strictly punished to protect the fishery resources of the Yellow River Basin.
