In response to the rising energy prices, Australia will implement a measure to cut the fuel tax in half.
On March 30th local time, Australian Prime Minister Albanese held a media briefing after the national cabinet meeting that day. He announced that the government will halve fuel taxes for three months to address the pressure on Australia's energy prices caused by the situation in the Middle East. At the same time, the Australian government has decided to delay the scheduled increase in fuel taxes for the next time by 6 months.
