On March 29, the world's largest diameter high-speed rail shield tunneling machine "Leader" developed independently by our country successfully completed a construction task of 11.18 kilometers in the underwater section of the Yangtze River. Since departing from Chongming Island in Shanghai on April 29, 2024, the "Leader" has safely excavated for 23 months, crossed the south bank of the Yangtze River, successfully arrived in Taicang, Jiangsu, and "landed", moving closer to the precise arrival at Shaft No. 2 "Maintenance Station".
