On March 27, Guangzhou Medical Insurance issued a notice, according to the unified deployment of the country and province, Guangzhou will promote the landing of the project approval guidelines for 16 batches of medical service prices on March 30, 2026, and June 30, 2026, covering all public medical institutions in Guangzhou. In the process of implementing the project approval guidelines, adhere to the principle of "optimizing structure, with both increases and decreases", continuously reduce the prices of projects with high equipment dependency and high proportion of consumables, while simultaneously increasing the prices of surgical, nursing, and traditional Chinese medicine projects that reflect the technical labor value of medical staff. In the early stages, 14 batches of project approval guidelines and 6 batches of price governance revisions have been implemented, with significant price reductions in various inspection and testing projects. Among them, common procedures like "removal of implantable drug delivery devices" in oncology and general surgery have seen the price drop from 975 yuan to 100 yuan, a reduction of nearly 90%; the fetal chromosomal aneuploidy screening project "non-invasive prenatal genetic testing for fetal chromosomal aneuploidy in Down syndrome comprehensive syndrome screening" commonly performed during prenatal examinations has decreased from 1568.6 yuan to 560 yuan, with a single-time price reduction of over 1000 yuan, further alleviating the medical burden on the public.
