In 2021, PICC Property and Casualty Insurance Company Limited achieved an original insurance premium income of 555.777 billion yuan for the whole year, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%, firmly occupying a market share of 31.6% in the Chinese property insurance market. Insurance service income reached 511.594 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%, continuing to lead the industry. Profitability and operating quality have significantly improved, with underwriting profit increasing by 119.4% to 12.535 billion yuan; the composite cost ratio was optimized to 97.5%, a year-on-year decrease of 1.3 percentage points. The investment side performed steadily, with total investment income of 38.639 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%. Ultimately, net profit reached 40.377 billion yuan, a strong year-on-year increase of 25.5%, and the return on equity increased to 14.7%. Operating cash flow also improved significantly, with a net increase of 18.1% to 43.048 billion yuan.
