Reporters learned from the Taihu Basin Management Bureau of the Ministry of Water Resources that the second phase of the Taipu River project will start on the 26th, which will further ensure the flood control safety, water supply safety, and ecological safety of the Taihu Basin. It is reported that the Taipu River is 57.6 kilometers long, crossing Jiangsu Province, Zhejiang Province, and Shanghai. It is the main channel and artery for flood control and water resource scheduling in the Taihu Basin, and has played an important role in dealing with regional floods in recent years.
