On the 21st local time, the 10th summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) was held in the capital of Colombia, Bogota, the rotating chair of the summit. Heads of state, government leaders, and representatives from about 30 Latin American countries attended the summit. The summit adopted the "Bogota Declaration," expressing a firm commitment to regional integration, strengthening CELAC as a core space for regional political dialogue, consultation, and cooperation, and enhancing the collective influence of Latin America in the global agenda. The Declaration reaffirmed the commitment to the Declaration of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, and expressed concern over the threat or use of force in violation of the United Nations Charter. The Declaration noted that member countries participating in the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the China-CELAC Forum highly praised its successful holding, believing that the Action Plan for Cooperation in Key Areas between China and CELAC Member Countries sets the direction for strengthening political dialogue, South-South cooperation, and mutual understanding. In response to current severe challenges, the Declaration called for deepening regional cooperation in areas such as combating transnational criminal organizations, food security, health self-sufficiency, and energy integration. During the summit, Uruguay took over as the rotating chair of CELAC from 2026 to 2027.
