OpenAI plans to recruit on a large scale.

The American artificial intelligence company OpenAI is expanding its organization at an unprecedented pace to narrow the gap with its competitor Anthropic. Recent reports show that OpenAI, which is preparing for an IPO by the end of the year, plans to increase its recruitment speed to an average of about 12 new employees per day this year, with the goal of increasing its staff from approximately 4,500 to 8,000 by the end of the year, nearly doubling its current size. The new employees recruited this time will focus on areas such as product development, engineering, research, and sales. Additionally, OpenAI will introduce a new type of position called "technology ambassador," where these specialized professionals will directly enter the company to help customers deploy and utilize AI tools more efficiently, thereby enhancing their commercial transformation capabilities. This model to some extent draws on the successful experience of Palantir's frontline engineers, generating more revenue by deeply embedding in customer business processes.
