Beijing encourages local CCUS companies to build large-scale, full-process demonstration application projects in key industries such as thermal power, steel, chemical industry, petrochemical industry, and cement in the Tianjin-Hebei region.

The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology and other four departments have issued the "Several Measures on Promoting the Cultivation and Growth of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage Industry in Beijing". It mentions that support will be provided to various types of production and operation units such as green factories and key carbon-emitting enterprises to accelerate the demonstration application of technologies such as carbon dioxide capture, separation, utilization, and storage, and provide financial rewards to CCUS technology application demonstration projects that meet the conditions of policy support for high-end industries development projects. The city encourages CCUS enterprises to establish large-scale, full-process demonstration application projects in key industries such as thermal power, iron and steel, chemical industry, petrochemical industry, and cement in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It promotes the expansion of industrial carbon dioxide capture applications in agriculture, storage, logistics, building materials, and other fields, encourages the integration development of CCUS technology with synthetic biology, resource recycling, and other technologies, and supports enterprises to actively explore economically feasible commercialization paths.
