Sharp's new president taking office, expected to expand cooperation on electric vehicle business with Foxconn.

Sharp Corporation announced that current Executive Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer, Tesshi Kawamura, will be promoted to president, while the former president, Yoshihiro Hashimoto, will be promoted to vice chairman. With the new president of Sharp, it is expected that there will be collaboration with the parent company Foxconn to expand the electric vehicle business, and the two companies will work together to launch an MPV electric car in the Japanese market in 2027.
