At the end of the European session on Thursday, the yield on the 10-year UK government bond rose by 10.5 basis points to 4.843%. The Bank of England raised the interest rate decision at 20:00 Beijing time, reaching a daily high of 4.914% at 21:15, holding steady below 4.840% for most of the day. The yield on the 2-year UK government bond rose by 20.9 basis points to 4.404%. After the Bank of England announced its decision to keep rates unchanged, breaking a slight upward trend and holding steady below 4.250%, it refreshed a daily high of 4.494% at 21:15. The 30-year UK government bond yield rose by 2.7 basis points, and the 50-year UK government bond yield rose by 0.9 basis points. The yield spread between the 2-year and 10-year UK government bonds fell by 20.026 basis points to +43.732 basis points, with a short-term drop at 20:00.
