The data shows that China's total annual apple production exceeds 51 million tons, with an annual consumption of over 47 million tons, ranking it as the world's largest apple producer and consumer. According to Enterprise Check data, as of March 19, there are now 7,411 apple cultivation related enterprises in the country, with 58 new registrations for the whole year of 2025, and 13 registrations have been made so far this year. In terms of existing enterprises, most apple cultivation related enterprises are well-established companies, with the majority of them being in operation for 5-10 years, accounting for over half at 51.33%. In terms of registered capital, apple cultivation related enterprises are mostly lightweight enterprises, with the majority having a capital of less than 1 million RMB, accounting for 69.17%. In terms of regional distribution, apple cultivation related enterprises are geographically concentrated, with the majority located in the northwest region, accounting for 48.50%.
