The State Council Taiwan Affairs Office held its regular press conference. A reporter asked: According to a report from Reuters, the United States is preparing a large-scale arms sale to Taiwan involving advanced interception missiles, which is expected to be submitted to President Trump for approval, and Trump may sign it after visiting China. What is your comment on this? Spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, Chen Binhua, said, "We firmly oppose relevant countries selling weapons to Taiwan. This position is consistent and clear. The US should adhere to the One China principle and the three Sino-US joint communiques, handle the issue of arms sales to Taiwan with caution, and take practical actions to maintain the stability of Sino-US relations and peace in the Taiwan Strait."
