Libya announces the discovery of a new natural gas field.

The National Oil Corporation of Libya announced on the 16th that two natural gas fields have been discovered in the offshore area of northwestern Libya, with a total reserve of approximately 1 trillion cubic feet. According to a statement released by the National Oil Corporation of Libya, the foreign partner Eni North Africa Company completed drilling and initial assessment of the "Assalatam River No. 2" and "Assalatam River No. 3" offshore geological structures located 16 kilometers south of the Assalatam River gas field, confirming the discovery of new gas fields. It is understood that the Assalatam River gas field is the main natural gas production area in Libya. The company stated that the new discovery of natural gas will help meet domestic and foreign market demands.
