On the morning of March 16th, the Jiangsu provincial government held an executive meeting to analyze the current economic situation and arrange the next key tasks. The meeting emphasized the need to focus on consumption areas with strong driving and certainty, to amplify the comprehensive effects of commercial, travel, cultural, and health consumption, to strengthen the integration and linkage of "Su New Consumption + Su Super League", to vigorously develop live streaming e-commerce, instant retail, social e-commerce, to cultivate a cluster of first stores, to guide automobile sales enterprises to penetrate into counties, townships, and markets, and to promote the "Three Ups" of Su products. The meeting also stressed the need to fully tap into and release the potential of effective investment, to encourage high-quality enterprises to increase capital and production, to increase investment in technological innovation, to accelerate the development of emerging strategic industries and future industries, to speed up the construction of infrastructure such as transportation and energy, and urban renewal, and to promote financial support for private capital investment projects through industry funds and adding industrial land. The meeting also called for tailored measures to control incremental growth, reduce inventory, and improve supply in different cities, to actively revitalize the existing housing stock through multiple channels, to promote the orderly development of "good houses", to enhance the policy support for talent housing, to deepen the reform of housing provident funds, to activate the improvement of housing demand, to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry, and to resolve difficulties and alleviate poverty. The meeting also emphasized the need to track and assess the impact of the external environment on foreign trade, to continuously promote the "Five News" in foreign trade, to strengthen collaboration with multinational companies, foreign enterprises, and supply chain platforms, to promote the expansion and upgrading of the "cross-border e-commerce + overseas warehouse" model, to encourage foreign investment to reinvest domestically and expand local production. The meeting also called for proactive participation in the construction of the Shanghai International Sci-Tech Innovation Center, to focus on increasing the supply of high-quality science and technology, to improve the efficient outcome conversion mechanism, to cultivate a matrix of high-level innovative enterprises, to strengthen the highly qualified innovative talent pool, to create a highland for the innovation and development of artificial intelligence, and to lead the development of new productive forces with scientific and technological innovation. The meeting also underscored the need to focus on key groups to promote high-quality and full employment, to strengthen the basic safety net for people's livelihood, to firmly implement spring farming and management, to continuously improve the quality of the ecological environment, to enhance the level of essential safety, and to effectively maintain social harmony and stability.
