Goldman Sachs cuts its forecast for the 10-year German government bond yield.
Goldman Sachs analysts stated in a report that they have lowered their forecast for year-end levels of 10-year German government bond yields. These analysts said they adjusted their predictions because "the possibility of yield increases being driven by growth has now decreased." Their new target for year-end 10-year German government bond yields is 3.0%, down from the previous 3.25%. The analysts added that the market's pricing in of some risks regarding a rate hike by the European Central Bank is correct, but the downside risks facing global growth will limit expectations of reflecting a tightening policy after December 2026.
