The acting head of state of Madagascar, Rajoelina, appointed Mamitiana Rajohnarison as the new Prime Minister on the evening of the 15th in the capital, Antananarivo. Rajoelina stated at the appointment ceremony held at the presidential palace that he appointed Rajohnarison as the new Prime Minister because of his long-standing work in the anti-corruption field and his integrity.
