Strong rainfall since March 7th has led to flash floods in several areas of Kenya. By March 9th, the police had recorded 42 deaths, with 26 occurring in the capital Nairobi. The floods have also caused many roads in Kenya to be submerged, leading to disruptions in transportation and daily life for many townspeople. Kenyan President William Ruto stated that he has deployed an emergency rescue team, including soldiers, to coordinate rescue efforts.
