On the 7th local time, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy and the Ukrainian National Electric Company reported that Russian attacks caused power outages in 7 regions of Ukraine, with planned power outages in other areas. The Ukrainian energy company stated that Russia launched a new round of large-scale missile and drone attacks on energy system facilities in multiple locations in Ukraine during the night and early morning hours. Heating interruptions were also reported in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed on the 7th that Russian forces used high-precision weapons and attack drones to launch large-scale strikes on Ukrainian military-industrial complexes overnight, targeting energy infrastructure and military airports used by the Ukrainian military.
