According to the latest survey by TrendForce Jonson Consulting, with the rise of generative AI, the demand for high-speed transmission in data centers continues to rise. The copper cable solution originally used for short-distance transmission within server racks will face severe challenges in terms of transmission density and energy saving. In contrast, the Micro LED CPO solution has lower unit transmission energy consumption, which can significantly reduce overall energy consumption to 5% of the copper cable solution, and is expected to become an alternative solution for optical interconnection based on energy-saving advantages.
