Recently, the security situation in the Middle East has been complex and evolving. Due to the temporary closure of UAE airspace, the travel plans of Chinese citizens coming to Dubai or transiting are blocked. The Chinese Consulate General in Dubai has promptly initiated consular protection emergency response mechanism to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens in the UAE and has not received any reports of casualties among Chinese citizens in this situation. To ensure the safety and smooth travel of Chinese compatriots, the Chinese Consulate General in Dubai specially reminds: 1. Stay calm and patient, scientifically respond to security risks. The UAE government has taken a series of measures to maintain social security and stability, and the overall situation is under control. Please stay calm, follow the guidance of local governments, emergency departments, and other institutions, prioritize local accommodation, reduce non-essential travel and inter-regional movements. Pay close attention to consular reminders, do not believe or spread rumors, and in case of emergency, report to the police first after ensuring your own safety and contact the Chinese Consulate General in Dubai for assistance. 2. Pay attention to flight updates and plan your trip reasonably. Given the limited operation of the airport, be sure to check flight information in advance, pay attention to airline notifications, and contact airlines for the latest flight updates, especially to confirm whether your flight has resumed, the terminal location, and other key information. Arrange your personal travel according to flight changes. Passengers who have not purchased tickets, confirmed reBOOKING, or whose flight status is still uncertain, should not go to the airport hastily, to avoid security risks such as crowd gathering and unnecessary economic losses. 3. In recent days, our consulate has received a large number of requests and reports from stranded Chinese travelers. For highly urgent cases, our consulate has arranged special personnel for tracking and handling. Stranded travelers who have not registered their personal information are encouraged to register through the Chinese Consular APP or mini-program to facilitate more precise assistance from our consulate. During this period, Chinese compatriots in the UAE, various overseas Chinese communities, and Chinese-funded enterprises and institutions have always been assisting each other, spontaneously forming multiple emergency contact groups, and have carried out a lot of effective work in information sharing, material assistance, and difficulty coordination, laying a solid foundation for jointly coping with the current situation.
