The 15th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened in Beijing on the morning of March 1st. Wang Huning, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the opening ceremony. The meeting deliberated and approved the decision on convening the fourth meeting of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC, heard a report on the work of the CPPCC National Committee in 2025, listened to explanations on the work report of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC, the drafting status of proposals since the third meeting of the 14th CPPCC, and listened to reports on the work of the Economic Committee, the Agriculture and Rural Committee, the Population Resources and Environment Committee, the Education, Science, Health and Sports Committee, the Social and Legal Committee, the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee, the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Committee, the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Culture, History and Study Committee of the CPPCC National Committee in 2025. Shi Taifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC, presided over the opening ceremony. Vice Chairmen of the National Committee of the CPPCC Wang Dongfeng and others respectively delivered reports and explanations on relevant topics. Vice Chairmen of the National Committee of the CPPCC Hu Chunhua, Shen Yueyue, Wang Yong, Zhou Qiang, He Houhuai, Leung Chun-ying, Baatar, Su Hui, Shao Hong, Gao Yunlong, Mu Hong, Xian Hui, Jiang Xinzhi, He Baoxiang, Wang Guangqian, Zhu Yongxin, and Yang Zhen attended the meeting.
