Stripe CEO John Collison: We have also been thinking about what will happen when AI agents start to participate in commercial activities on a large scale. First of all, I want to clarify that although everyone is discussing this trend right now, we have not yet seen a massive explosion of such transactions, but I feel that day is very close. Just look at the huge enthusiasm for OpenAI and Anthropic products, and we can already see AI agents taking action on behalf of humans in unsupervised situations. Therefore, we expect to see some level of trading between agents this year. Our core work now is to build a system specifically adapted for AI agents to trade with each other.
