A government official in the United States said on Thursday that if Anthropic does not agree to allow the Pentagon to use its technology without restrictions, the agreement signed in August to provide the government with the startup company's chatbot Claude for all three departments will be canceled. The U.S. official stated that the government believes Claude is a very remarkable product and hopes to reach a resolution. However, if a resolution cannot be reached, the chatbot will no longer be provided to federal agencies through the General Services Administration.
