Japan: The average price of newly built apartments is expected to rise by 7.8% in 2025.

According to data released by the Japan Real Estate Institute on February 25th, the average price of newly built apartments nationwide in 2025 increased by 7.8% from the previous year to 65.56 million yen. Influenced by the high construction costs, it has reached a new high for the 9th consecutive year. The average price in the Tokyo metropolitan area rose by 17.4% to 91.82 million yen compared to 2024, while in the Kinki region it decreased by 0.5% to 53.28 million yen.
