Financial Secretary Paul Chan: Hong Kong Launches HK$10 Billion Innovation and Technology Industry Funding Scheme

The Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, Paul Chan Mo-po, today announced the government's financial budget for the 2026-2027 financial year. Chan Mo-po stated that the government will launch a HK$10 billion "Technology Venture Fund" to guide market capital investment in strategic emerging areas such as life and health technology, AI and robotics, and future industries. The government is currently selecting fund managers with the aim of starting the fund operations within the year.
