Lam Cheuk-ting calls for support from various sectors of society for the new budget plan.

The Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Paul Chan, delivered a new budget today. Chief Executive Carrie Lam said that the budget applies different effective measures from the Policy Address and the government's policy to leverage Hong Kong's unique advantage of being both internally connected and externally connected under the principle of "one country, two systems," actively promoting the economy, seeking development, benefiting the people, seizing new opportunities for development, and better integrating with and serving the overall development of the country. Carrie Lam pointed out that she and the Financial Secretary are confident that the Hong Kong economy will continue to perform well and called on all sectors of society to support the new budget and jointly promote the high-quality development of Hong Kong.
