Recently, it was learned from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that in 2026, the Ministry will focus on improving the system mechanism, accelerating the transformation of development methods, and achieving new and greater progress in promoting the comprehensive green transformation of agricultural development. It is understood that by 2025, the utilization rate of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in China will further increase, the comprehensive utilization rate of livestock and poultry manure will exceed 80%, and the total number of green foods, organic products, high-quality specialty agricultural products, and geographical indication agricultural products will exceed 88,000. A relevant official from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs stated that in 2026, they will promote resource conservation and reduce input while increasing efficiency, promote the utilization of waste resources, advance the stability and diversity of agricultural ecosystems, and promote the greening and low-carbon transformation of the entire industry chain. This includes promoting water-saving agriculture practices, precision fertilization, scientific pesticide use, and comprehensive utilization of aquaculture wastewater; advancing ecological protection and restoration in key watersheds, promoting agricultural ecological restoration in the Yangtze River basin, steadfastly advancing the ten-year fishing ban in the Yangtze River, and strengthening agricultural ecological protection in the Yellow River basin; vigorously promoting green recycling technologies and promoting integrated farming of crops and livestock, simultaneous cultivation of grain and forage, and integrated rice-fish farming.
