African stock market closing report: South African stock market up 1%, Nigerian stock index up over 6.9% this week.

On Friday, the South African FTSE/JSE Africa Top 40 traded index closed up 1.04%, approaching 115,000 points, accumulating a 2.02% increase for the week. The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index closed up 0.99%, nearing 19,500 points, setting a new closing high for three consecutive trading days and accumulating a 6.95% increase for the week. This week, the Mauritius Stock Exchange SEMDEX index rose by 0.18%, while the Nairobi Securities Exchange All Share Index fell by 3.14%.
