The CEO of Goldman Sachs said he holds Bitcoin.
After years of skepticism, Goldman Sachs CEO Solomon has stated that he holds a small amount of Bitcoin. At the World Economic Forum in Florida, Solomon described his holdings as "very, very limited" and said he is not a Bitcoin predictor, but merely an observer. He had previously stated that Bitcoin is highly volatile and speculative, and in 2024 he said he could not see a clear use case for Bitcoin. His change in stance reflects the increasing participation of Wall Street in the cryptocurrency industry as the legitimacy of the industry continues to grow under the Trump administration. Once regulated with restrictions, Goldman Sachs had previously kept its distance from cryptocurrencies, but now its attitude is changing.
