Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission announced that in order to accelerate the construction of the Branch Line of Metro Line 1 and achieve seamless operation with the existing Line 1, starting from February 15, 2026, temporary station closures and suspensions will be implemented at Gu Cheng Station and Ba Baoshan Station on Line 1, expected to last until the end of May 2026. During the construction period, the operating section of Line 1 will be temporarily changed to Yujing Road Station to Universal Resort Station, with operations returning at Yujing Road Station. At that time, Pingguoyuan Station on Line 1 will also be renovated and reopened, allowing for seamless transfers between Line 1, Line 6, and Line S1.
