On February 13, the State Administration for Market Regulation summoned platform companies such as Alibaba, Douyin, Baidu, Tencent, JD.com, Meituan, and Taobao Flash Sale, demanding that these companies strictly abide by laws and regulations such as the Anti-Unfair Competition Law, Price Law, Consumer Rights Protection Law, and E-commerce Law, actively fulfill their main responsibilities, and further regulate platform promotion and marketing behaviors. It reminds related platform companies to eliminate all forms of "war of attrition" competition, jointly maintain a fair competition market environment, and promote innovation and healthy development of the platform economy.
