On February 12th, Xian Jie, the head of the juvenile prosecution department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, was a guest at the interview with the head of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and introduced that in the first 11 months of 2025, the prosecutorial organs accepted and filed 85,000 cases of juvenile crimes, prosecuted 66,000 cases of crimes against minors, with a respective year-on-year decrease of 9.7% and 1.9%. The prosecutorial organs fully utilized their functional advantages of legal supervision and full participation in judicial protection, focusing on the following tasks: first, grasping judicial cases to achieve a balance between leniency and severity; second, strengthening legal supervision to promote graded correction; third, emphasizing preventive measures at the source to promote comprehensive governance; fourth, deepening comprehensive performance of duties to enhance work quality and efficiency; and fifth, enhancing thematic research to promote both symptomatic and fundamental solutions.
