Memo reveals Tesla is suing union member for secretly recording labor-management meetings.

According to a memorandum seen by Reuters, Tesla has filed criminal charges against a member of the German IG Metall union for secretly recording a labor meeting held near Berlin on Tuesday. Tesla confirmed the contents of the memorandum, marking the latest low point in the tense relationship between IG Metall and Tesla. Tesla Grohheide factory manager Thierry Ehriche said in the memorandum that the IG Metall external members who attended the meeting were there as guests and then started recording with a computer. Tesla stated that the labor meeting was a private event and recording the content of the meeting constitutes a criminal offense.
