NIO's Li Bin's latest internal speech: Implement the CBU mechanism, achieve the greatest results with the least amount of money.
On the afternoon of February 9, NIO held a company-wide meeting, where NIO founder, chairman, and CEO Li Bin shared a summary of the company's goals for 2025 and outlook for 2026, and recognized outstanding projects from the past year. Compared to previous years, this year's recognition included a "Special Contribution Award" aimed at acknowledging teams and projects with outstanding operational results. The new ES8 vehicle team received the only top award. The L90 vehicle team, Firefly vehicle team, in-house chip team, and cost reduction team all received first prizes. Basic operational units played a huge role last year, and Li Bin emphasized the importance of continuing the CBU mechanism thoroughly. "If we use cars as an analogy, last year, we could only be considered as developing concept cars, but we will continue to progress and strive to reach mass production vehicles earlier, aiming to improve our operational level every year," Li Bin said.
