Shanghai: Promote the Silver Economy will carry out paired research and development of elderly care technology products this year.
Shanghai Municipal People's Government held a thematic press conference on February 7th. Lou Guojian, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, stated that by 2026, a platform will be established to facilitate the connection between technology companies and eldercare institutions, carry out collaborative research on eldercare technology products, evaluate the application effects of the products, and promote functional optimization. To support this initiative, a supportive policy has been introduced, providing a one-time subsidy of 100,000 RMB to those who engage in the construction of eldercare technology product application scenarios or collaborate with technology companies on collaborative research.
