The country's first intelligent supervision platform for the water transportation of new energy vehicles has been officially put into operation.
The Spring Festival travel season in 2026 officially kicked off, with the demand for cross-river travel continuing to rise. Ensuring the safe transport of new energy vehicles has become a key issue affecting people's livelihoods. As the first intelligent supervision platform for new energy vehicle water transport in the country, the "E-car Ping An Du" platform jointly created by the Shanghai Maritime Bureau and the Shanghai Municipal Data Bureau is fully leveraging the capabilities at the Baoshan Shidongkou Car Passenger Ferry Terminal to significantly reduce vehicle queue waiting times and provide contactless services for passengers. At the same time, breaking through the barriers between government data and industry supervision data, the platform is making the key transition from the risk of new energy vehicle transport from "unknown" to "knowable, measurable, and controllable", providing a replicable and scalable "Shanghai experience" for national new energy vehicle water transport supervision.
