The Supreme People's Procuratorate has approved the prosecution of 369 people involved in various major criminal cases that occurred over 20 years ago.

Miao Shengming, a member of the Party Group of the Supreme People's Procuratorate and Deputy Procurator-General, introduced at the press conference that from January to November 2025, the national procuratorial organs prosecuted a total of 49,000 people for serious violent crimes such as intentional homicide, robbery, and kidnapping, a decrease of 10.3% year-on-year, accounting for 3.9% of the total number of prosecutions, maintaining a low level of below 4% for nearly 10 years. The Supreme People's Procuratorate approved the prosecution of 369 people for various major crimes that occurred over 20 years, punishing severely for major crimes with serious consequences, serious social impact, and seriously affecting the sense of security of the people.
